Privacy and data protection
This site was not built to collect information about visitors. Below we state plainly which data goes where when you use it.
What we don't collect
- We don't use cookies.
- We use no visitor statistics or advertising tools (analytics).
- There is no form that sends data; the quote calculator's result only opens as a draft in your own email program.
- GeoJSON or KML files you drop into the map studio open in your browser and are never sent to any server.
Data that technically reaches third parties
- Hosting: The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any web server, your IP address and browser details may be processed by GitHub when a page is requested.
- Base maps: When you open the map studio, map tiles load from OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap or Esri servers, which see your IP address.
- Place search: If you search in the map studio, your search term is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service.
Stored in your browser
To remember that you have seen the welcome screen, a single flag is stored in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage). It is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
When you email us
We use the name, contact details and project information in your email only to answer your request and prepare a quote. To exercise your rights under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (access, rectification, erasure, etc.), write to the address below.
